Padma Legian resort in Bali is a large resort, with beach access a breeze. There are beautiful grounds and gardens, filled with lots of lush trees and flowers, making for a visually appealing resort. The staff were attentive, however somewhat struggled to deal with large crowds, which occurs often at breakfast. Padma Legian always has a Bluebird taxi on standby, which made it so easy to travel around – Bluebird taxi’s won’t hassle you, meter goes straight on!
I stayed 6 nights in a Chalet room. The rooms are beautiful, with every detail attended to. We received 4 water bottles daily complementary. The blinds in the Chalet are the best block outs I have ever had, solid wooden doors that completely block out the sun – the one down side, there was no sheer blind for the day, so people just opposite our chalet could technically look in (through all the palms etc, the view is somewhat distorted), and it meant if privacy was wanted, it was in darkness.
At Padma Legian, the WiFi is free 24/7 throughout the entire resort which was awesome. WiFi by the pool? Check! Happy hour at both pools between 2:30 and 4:30pm with 2 for 1 beers and buy 2 get one free cocktails for around $10 AUD. Lunch by the pool was tasty and also well priced. The pools were large, with the main pool always soupy warm and the lagoon pool refreshing. There was a separate childrens pool as well.
Breakfast buffet had a good selection, however it was the same food everyday apart from fruits alternating. All your standards and more!! Eggs, omelettes, croissants (cheese, beef and onion, almond, plain) gluten free bread, donuts, rye, sourdough, toast, pancakes, crepes, waffles and lots of condiments to match. Fresh veggies and fruits as well. Barista made cappuccinos and the like are no problem and well made!
Padma is the place to stay in Legian.
